Institutional Perspective Plan

The perspective plan for Aghorekamini Prakashchandra Mahavidyalaya aims to provide a structured and holistic framework for the development and enhancement of the institution. This plan focuses on improving academic quality, infrastructure, community engagement and overall student experience.

Academic Development

i) NEP 2020 Implementation:

  • To create new substantive teaching posts to support the semester system introduced by NEP 2020.
  • To introduce Master's level teaching in humanities subjects to meet the requirements of NEP 2020.
  • To develop and introduce vocational courses to align with the objectives of NEP 2020.

ii) Curriculum and Courses:

  • To introduce job-oriented courses such as BBA, Computer Science, etc., to meet industry demands.
  • To develop new and applied curriculum for Add-on Courses and ensure their effective delivery to students.
  • To emphasize on increasing enrolment in Science subjects to foster interest and growth in these areas.

Faculty and Staff Development

i) Recruitment and Training:

  • To take necessary steps to fill substantive vacant non-teaching posts to ensure smooth functioning of the college.
  • To establish a research cell to encourage and support faculty in research activities.
  • To organize regular training and workshops for faculty to upgrade their skills and teaching methodologies.

Infrastructure and Facilities

i) Campus Infrastructure:
  • To upgrade and maintain classrooms, laboratories, and libraries with modern amenities and equipment.
  • To develop green spaces, sports facilities, and recreational areas to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • To ensure accessibility and facilities for differently-abled students.

ii) Technology Integration:

  • To set up smart classrooms with audio-visual aids and interactive learning tools.
  • To upgrade the campus with high-speed internet connectivity and a digital library.
  • To promote e-learning and online resources to support blended learning environments.
  • To establish more facilities for ICT-based teaching.

iii) Library Development:

  • To enhance library resources by adding more books, journals, and digital materials.
  • To promote optimal utilization of library resources to support academic and research activities.
  • To ensure proper utilization of fully automated library resources and other physical infrastructure to benefit students and faculty.

Skill Development and Vocational Training

i) Skill Development Programmes:
  • To enhance opportunities for skill development programmes to equip students with industry-relevant skills.
  • To establish collaborations with industries for skill enhancement and job training to improve employability.

Community Engagement and Environment

i) Environmental Sustainability:
  • To make the campus cleaner, greener, and more environment-friendly by implementing sustainable practices.
  • To promote tree plantation, waste management, and water conservation initiatives to create an eco-friendly campus.
ii) Yoga Education and Wellness:
  • To popularize yoga education among students and other stakeholders to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • To organize yoga sessions and wellness programmes to encourage a healthy lifestyle among the college community.

Student Welfare and Engagement

i) Student Support and Progression:
  • To implement measures to reduce dropout rates and increase student progression through counselling and academic support.
  • To create a larger scope for extra-curricular and sports activities to engage students in holistic development.
  • To provide scholarships and financial assistance to deserving and underprivileged students.

Partnerships and Collaborations

i) Industry and Community Collaboration:
  • To establish collaborations with industries for internships, training, and placement opportunities.
  • To engage students in community development projects and social outreach programmes to instil a sense of responsibility and civic engagement.
  • To organize industry-academia interaction sessions, guest lectures, and workshops to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
ii) Health and Wellness Initiatives:

iii) Cultural and Social Activities:

The revised perspective plan for the rural college focuses on aligning with the objectives of NEP 2020, enhancing academic quality, improving infrastructure, and promoting community engagement, environmental sustainability, and holistic student development.
