About Alumni

The Alumni Association of Aghorekamini Prakashchandra Mahavidyalaya was founded in 2015 and was registered in the session 2022-23. Its registration number is S0034334. It has now become an integral part of the College administration. This initiative has been taken with a view to bringing together all its former students who have passed through the portals of this institution undaunted by all the odds in this remote part of West Bengal. Though it has been registered recently, it has always played a significant role in the development of our institution, benefitting our students and staff by undertaking and executing several projects since its inception.

The Association tries to help the College in various ways, in spite of facing many challenges and shortcomings. However, with co-operation and dedication the Association hopes to fulfil all the expectations of its members and the College.

The alumni of our college have proved their excellence in diverse fields. Such exemplary achievements are represented by Dr Amiya Panda (the honourable Ex-Vice Chancellor of Sadhu Ram Chand Murmu University, a member of the NAAC Peer Team and a member of the NCERT Syllabus Committee), Saheb Karak (Assistant Director; Home, Prison and Disaster Management, Jharkhand), Sudip Das (a bronze medalist in gymnastics at the 37^th National Games, Goa and Kerala National Championship 2024), Puja Koley (silver medalist in International Yoga Competition 2020, Nepal) and Ranita Mandal (a State-level Rabindra-sangeet exponent).

The Alumni Association of our college organises a reunion of the former students biennially to help them renew their bond with the beloved institution.
