We have developed over the years a participatory system of governance of the college in which the faculty members actively get involved in the various academic functions of the college administration.

The Teachers' Council is a statutory body as per University of Burdwan Act. All the full time teachers are members of Teachers' Council. At the beginning of each session several Sub-committees are formed at a meeting of Teachers' Council to oversee and coordinate the different academic and administrative matters.

The Secretary of the Teachers' Council for session 2023-2025 is Prof. Sri Biswanath Kundu, Department of History.
