The establishment of a Women’s Cell is a crucial step towards ensuring gender equality, safety, and empowerment for female students and staff. The Women's Cell serves as a dedicated body to address issues related to women's welfare and promote gender sensitization on campus.

The primary necessity of the Women’s Cell is to ensure the safety and security of female students and staff. It provides a platform to address and resolve issues related to harassment, discrimination, and violence against women. The Women’s Cell plays a vital role in promoting gender equality by advocating for equal opportunities in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. It ensures that female students and staff have a voice in all matters affecting their education and well-being.

FUNCTIONS

  • Policy Implementation: Formulate and implement policies related to gender equality, safety, and anti-discrimination. Ensure that all students and staff are aware of these policies.
  • Counseling and Support Services: Provide counseling services to female students and staff facing personal, academic, or professional challenges. Offer support and resources to help them overcome obstacles.
  • Grievance Redressal: Establish a transparent and efficient grievance redressal mechanism to address complaints related to harassment, discrimination, and other gender-based issues.
  • Awareness and Sensitization Programs: Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on topics such as gender sensitivity, women's rights, health and wellness, and self-defense.
  • Networking and Collaboration: Collaborate with external organizations, NGOs, and other educational institutions to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. Facilitate networking opportunities for female students and staff.
