ABOUT
Ragging is a serious issue in educational institutions, posing a threat to the physical and mental well-being of students. It involves various forms of harassment, bullying, and abuse that can lead to severe consequences, including psychological trauma and, in extreme cases, suicide. Recognizing the grave implications of ragging, Aghorekamini Prakashchandra Mahavidyalaya has established an Anti-Ragging Cell to create a safe and supportive environment for all students.
The primary necessity of the Anti-Ragging Cell is to protect students from any form of ragging or harassment. By establishing strict anti-ragging policies and mechanisms, the cell aims to ensure the safety and well-being of every student on campus.
The establishment of an Anti-Ragging Cell is in compliance with the directives of the Supreme Court of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC). These bodies mandate educational institutions to take proactive measures to prevent ragging and protect students' rights.
